history:
2016, space crystals came hurling down towards our planet, mutating some of the organisms and even objects that it came across. Though the origins of these crystals are unknown, their effects are indeed threatening.

Mitsuo Katagiri finally had him cornered, Godzilla. for half a decade, this monster had terrorized Japan and leveled it down to ruins. Despite the claims that a certain rouge defense team called NIGHTjUNK fully approved of allying the creature, he himself, as a member of the CCI (Crisis control Intelligence), he believes that we need to rid this monster as soon as possible. Now, a few weeks after the said crystal fall, he is about to test his new missiles, said to penetrate any known material, to his awaited target.

In the otherside of this situation, one of the crystals landed on Birth Island, a large land mass located East to Japan, mutating billions of prehistoric fungi, The Matango. Growing up to a surprising 6 meters, the Matangoes developed a ravenous appetite and went on hunting for new food.

Attracted by the sound of the gunfire and Godzilla's roars, the horde of mutant fungi attacked the operation, killing most of the soldiers and attempted to attack Godzilla himself as they grew in number. The monster king felt no pity to his smaller foe, healing from the recent attacks, he burned every matango he sees, forcing them to retreat and the ashes of the fallen follows them. The attack reached the Godzilla prediction Network (GPN), leading one of its members, a widower and his daughter, Yuji and Io Shinoda, to investigate the attack.

While this is all at play, the mutae fungi prepares for another assault as Godzilla ravaged the city of Tokyo...

powers and abilities:
~can survive as spores, but only in a limited time before the spores die (crystal mutation side effects)
~ can produce a viscous and corrosive icor from its blood.
~ can spray a green organic acid that can dissolve small animals and can be fed on.
~ can infect surviving humans who inhaled their spores and turns them into two to three matangoes.
~ can merge together to create Deathla.
