"Oh, Miss Elphaba, you terrible mean thing, you're pretty!"
(believe it or not, that little green girl is the wicked witch of the west!) I'm half way of the book, Gregory Maguire's Wicked is indeed a redeeming piece of literature in sense of good and evil. Elphaba is indeed one new face in the world of literary heroines in terms of nature, nature and understanding. (as well as spunk! Elphie has spunk! XD) I love this part of the book because this is Elphaba's first contact of a total stranger on her own. (as well as the first time she talked as an adolescent in the book) Glinda U. and Elphaba (c) Gregor Maguire's Wicked. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
