Anguirus is a calm, calculated and brave creature; a survivor of his kind, Anguirus fights for his own existance and known to be a very formidable foe.
When his island home, along with the creatures that inhabit it, was struck by the Hydrogen bombs during 1945 as the island resurfaces, he mutated and became more territorial as the others became more aggressive as well.
In 2008, Anguirus was found by an !NIGHTjUNK! member, Otsune Kinna, a kitsune who was on a plane ride and crash landed after a storm. The two, at first, avoided each other as both see the other as a threat, but when Anguirus saved Otsune from Kumonga, and Otsune saved him from Gorosaurus, the two learned to trust one another. Soon, Anguirus' home island was revealed to the public as rescuers came for the lost JSDF member and named "Birth Island".
After the island was made public, Anguirus was the first monster to be known by the world, coming second from Godzilla (which the first died in 1954, a second one appeared in 2008) and the wild monster to aid the JSDF, despite their attack at him during prior events. (This was, of course, after Otsune "talked" and reasoned with him).
Until today, Anguirus, if not often, was always the first to take action when Birth Island was under siege or when !NIGHTjUNK! seeks for help during a monster attack. Anguirus even took Godzilla's side despite the Nuclear titan's harsh treatment towards him at first, allying the dinosaur even when Godzilla does not seek for help.
~Tough hide, strong enough to withstand any degree of bombartment
~Agile movement despite his bulkiness.
~Spike carapace that can curl into a ball which can be used as a rolling ball of destruction.
~brain extending down to his chest which gives him total control over his body and learns as any fight progresses
~Spiked tail capable of giving powerful blows
~ Anguirus later gained the ability to produce sonic booms with his roar. This ability, though, is not very effective against monsters.
